True Human™ monoclonal antibodies are derived from those which occur naturally in human beings—as opposed to being derived from animal immunization or otherwise engineered. XBiotech believes that naturally occurring monoclonal antibodies have the potential to be safer, more effective and faster to develop than their non-naturally occurring counterparts. The Company is developing a pipeline of product candidates targeting both inflammatory and infectious diseases and has developed commercial scale manufacturing technology and infrastructure that reduces the cost and time to launch new product candidates.
